Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ) is the national voice of all 86 councils of New Zealand. Local Government Managers Australia (LGMA) is the leading professional association representing managers and aspiring managers in local government throughout Australia and Asia-Pacific. The Australian Local Government Women's Association (ALGWA) is a non-party political organisation to support and encourage women's participation in local government. CLGF ensures that local government's voice is heard within the Commonwealth and that it gets full recognition and support in the Commonwealth family. CLGF works closely with other Commonwealth and international organisations such as the Commonwealth Secretariat and the United Nations, notably the UNCHS (Habitat).
