Help shape the future of healthcare in our communities

Consultation on the development of Australia’s next National Digital Health Strategy has begun, with feedback sought from local governments.

To further enhance digital healthcare for all Australians, the Australian Digital Health Agency would like to learn from local governments which are leveraging digital health to improve the health and wellbeing of their communities.

New models of care and new pathways are evolving at an unprecedented rate, accelerated by the national response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since March 2020, electronic prescriptions have been introduced, and the use of telehealth appointments has increased significantly.

With nearly all community pharmacies now dispensing electronic prescriptions, these are set to become a routine, safe, and trusted part of Australia’s healthcare delivery system.

This would not have been possible without tests and trials being conducted across rural and regional communities.

Now is your chance to influence the future of health in Australia by taking part in the National Digital Health Survey.  The survey should take only 15 minutes to complete and will close on 28 November.

The feedback provided through the survey will be used to develop the 2022 National Digital Health Strategy and implementation plan for governments, healthcare providers, consumers, innovators, and the technology industry.
