LG input wanted on National Landcare Program review

The National Landcare Program is being reviewed to ensure it is working as intended to protect biodiversity and engender sustainable agricultural practices.

The NLP is the federal government’s key natural resource management (NRM) commitment, and the review is examining how phase two of the program has impacted the delivery of NRM activities since its commencement in 2018.

Stakeholders have until 20 October to submit feedback to the federal Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) to “help shape the future of the program”.

Feedback can be given via a written submission or by completing one of four surveys – and is open to land managers or to individuals directly involved in the practical delivery of Landcare and natural resource management activities.
