Feedback to inform a review of local government vocational and education training qualifications will be open for public validation from Friday, 19 June to Friday, 10 July 2020.
Local government employs around 200,000 people nationally, and VET qualifications (Certificate III to Diploma) provide this group with many of their training and skills.
Current qualifications have not been reviewed for 16 years, and SkillsIQ – at the direction of the Local Government Industry Reference Committee (IRC) – is in the process of updating of all contents packaged within the LGA Local Government Training Package.
If you work in local government, provide training in local government or manage people in local government, your views, thoughts and suggestions on this final draft of the qualification would be appreciated.
Activities to enable industry stakeholders and VET professionals to provide feedback include a general information webinars, subject-focused webinars and stakeholder interviews.
