No time to waste: final webinar looking at plastic crisis

The final webinar in a three-part series looking at plastic use and disposal – hosted by Plastic Oceans Australia and Griffith University – will be held on 29 July.

The panelists include ALGA President David O’Loughlin, Queensland Environment Minister Leeanne Enoch, and the director-general of the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program, Kosi Latu.

They will look at how the plastic crisis might be ameliorated with the support of local and state governments, including how reliance on single-use plastics can be reduced and whether packaging manufacturers should be partly accountable for change.

The webinar is free to all interested parties. The podcasts from the first two webinars are available for listening on the Plastic Oceans website.
