RAM and myGovID updates for local government users

The federal government is rolling out new Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) features as part of its commitment to providing safe and secure online services.

RAM emails will now issue from noreply@authorisationmanager.gov.au

Local government staff are being advised to add this email address to their “safe” or “preferred sender” so they receive future communications.

Councils can also update their “current business email address” in RAM to ensure they receive authorisation notifications such as renewal email reminders.

The federal government recommends using a business email address that only staff have access to and which is checked regularly.

With multiple authorisations, each email address may be different. These email addresses can be updated separately. Find out more here.

To make its services more accessible, the government is also progressively adding screen reader functionality to the myGovID app, with more screens to come.
