Twenty-four dangerous crash sites across South Australia will be fixed under the Black Spot Program’s 2020-21 funding round.
Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack announced this week that SA would receive $8.7 million under the program’s latest funding round.

In other federal funding news, nearly $1.5 million has been made available for 39 new projects under the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal’s Tackling Tough Times Together program.
Projects funded in Round 16 include the Outback Drowning Prevention Program for youth in Alpha, a Recovery Festival in Condobolin, and an airstrip at Parachilna in SA to better connect the community with the rest of Australia.

The department’s website has also been updated with more details of the new Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program, including news that $500,000 in funding will go to the external territories of Norfolk Island and Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
